Floss the Face

Nothing like a bit of marketing money well spent, right! I decided a couple of weeks ago to put together a shirt in order to give out to whomever would sport it. Luckily, it was fairly cheap and had a great response. The face has been a long-lived and long-loved icon for my work and so I plastered it on the front of a tee, right in the superman position. On the back is simply my alternative domain and memorable phrase, "Visit the face," with a dot com to sow it on up.

White on black. Sleek and professional looking. And, of course, it is eye catching. Generally when I wear it out I will get double takes maybe because of the interestingly simple the face is and how it stares you right back (and my not-so-good looks). That is just a hunch.

It does have some kind of mystery to it. Some people stop and ask me what the significance of the face is (sometimes called a mask). So I just turn around to show them the call to action. Since I can't really track these people and their visits to my site (unless hundreds have been given out relatively quickly), I have no idea if it really is working or not.

Still, branding is everything. I'm wearing the brand and getting into their minds. That is what counts. Plus, all those face fans can now wear it with pride.
